research activities
The group has built the spectrometer for the muons which
are produced in the direction of the incoming protons (see the figure above),
known as FMUON detector, the detector of secondary vertices (VXD) and the
spectrometer for leading protons (LPS), the latter in collaboration with
the Torino group. Now it is involved in the design and set up of
the data acquisition system of the new silicon microvertex detector (MVD).
The main interests of the group are:

Heavy flavor production in photoproduction and deep-inelastic-scattering
(DIS) interactions

Production of c-cbar and b-bar mesons in inelastic as well as elastic photon-proton
interactions

Leading proton physics
-
Exotic physics (searches for supersymmetry [SUSY], lepton-flavor-violation
[LFV], lepto-quarks [LQ], etc.)
